Software Engineer - Computational Photography

Status: Full Time/Exempt
Reports To: Lead Software Engineer

About TetraVue:

TetraVue has developed a flash LiDAR system that generates full motion, 3D, high definition video with range information for 2 million pixels in each flash. The system, which is ideally suited to meeting the requirements for ADAS, Autonomous driving and other machine vision and robotics applications is accomplished using commercially available, high volume components used in other product areas (e.g. cell phone cameras). 

Founded in 2008, the company demonstrated and developed the technology with funding from the DOE and other government contracts before shifting focus to automotive and other commercial applications last year. Investors include Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Foxconn and Nautilus Ventures Partners investors.

Job Summary:

The Computational Photography Software Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of a diverse set of imaging algorithms that will operate on rich data acquired by our flash LiDAR system. 

Principal Duties:

  • Researching and implementing algorithms in the following areas: Multi-frame fusion, feature tracking, stitching, demosaicing and spatial/temporal noise reduction
  • Camera calibration

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing imaging pipelines and computational imaging algorithms
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++
  • Proficient with OpenCV

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with LiDAR data
  • Experience with GPU programming
  • Ability to implement and optimize algorithms on a DSP
  • Experience developing imaging pipelines
