Senior Sensor Manager

Status: Full Time/Exempt
Reports To: Director of Engineering

About TetraVue:

TetraVue has developed a flash LiDAR system that generates full motion, 3D, high definition video with range information for 2 million pixels in each flash. The system, which is ideally suited to meeting the requirements for ADAS, Autonomous driving and other machine vision and robotics applications is accomplished using commercially available, high volume components used in other product areas (e.g. cell phone cameras). 

 Founded in 2008, the company demonstrated and developed the technology with funding from the DOE and other government contracts before shifting focus to automotive and other commercial applications last year. Investors include Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Foxconn and Nautilus Ventures Partners investors.

Job Summary:

The senior sensor manager will lead the development of new sensors for the 4D camera system. This includes working on custom sensor CMOS solutions.

Principal Duties:

  • Direct and manage subcontractors and partners
  • Define and execute roadmap for current and future sensors
  • Work with other engineers to define specifications, as well as testing, and calibration methods
  • Define, implement, and manage QA process for sensors

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 13+ years experience, or Masters Degree with 10+ years experience, or PhD with 7+ years experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, or related field
  • Successful experience leading imaging sensor development projects
  • Experience with CCD/CMOS sensor development from design through production
  • Familiarity with CMOS pixel architectures, ROIC, and overall sensor design and integration
  • Broad understanding in Sensor Characterization and Calibration
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working with internal and external teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Consumer or industrial sensor and/or camera product experience
  • Recent experience with low noise sensors, active imaging, and/or LIDAR systems
